Italian Espresso Martini

Italian Espresso Martini Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Alfonso's Coffee Italian Espresso (freshly brewed and cooled)
  • 1.5 oz Vodka
  • 0.5 oz Coffee liqueur (like Kahlúa)
  • 0.25 oz Simple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • Ice cubes
  • Coffee beans (for garnish)

Equipment:

  • Espresso machine or coffee maker
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Martini glass

Instructions:

  1. Brew the Espresso:

    • Prepare 2 ounces of Italian Espresso using Alfonso's Coffee beans. Allow it to cool to room temperature before using.
  2. Mix the Cocktail:

    • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
    • Pour the cooled espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur, and simple syrup over the ice.
    • Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. This not only chills the mixture but also creates a nice, frothy top when poured.
  3. Serve:

    • Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
    • Garnish with three coffee beans on the surface of the drink. In cocktail lore, the three beans represent health, wealth, and happiness.
  4. Presentation Tip:

    • For an extra touch of elegance, you could rim the glass with sugar or cocoa powder before pouring the drink.
